Abstract

This study reviews the literature on the use of digital games as educational tools to promote a Culture of Peace and Human Rights. The research was conducted through a systematic review, selecting articles from the Web of Science, Scopus, and Scielo databases. Although digital games have dynamic characteristics that can potentially foster reflection on peace and human rights issues, the analysis revealed a significant shortage of games specifically focused on these themes and a limitation in related academic production. The results indicate that despite the potential of games as educational strategies, the current literature discusses the subject peripherally and lacks robust data supporting the effectiveness of these games in promoting a Culture of Peace. This article proposes a reflection on the need for the development of educational games and more in-depth research exploring how existing game elements can be adapted to teach topics related to peace and human rights.
