A MIDIATIZAÇÃO DA CULTURA

Este artigo explora o conceito de midiatização da cultura a partir da revisão e análise das teorias da mídia. Através dele argumento que as abordagens existentes esclarecem aspectos importantes da cultura dos meios de comunicação, embora sejam incapazes de fornecer uma base adequada para pesquisas teórica e empiricamente fundamentadas sobre as relações entre mídia e sociedade. Com o objetivo de contribuir para a construção de uma perspectiva teórico-metodológica que permita compreender a crescente onipresença e as forças de moldagem da comunicação, faço uma distinção mais precisa entre o conceito de mediação e midiatização afastando desde último as questões que envolvem a(s) lógica(s) da mídia e reconhecendo seu caráter de metaprocesso.
