a study of the perceptions of the development of Artficial Intelligence

This article reflects the parcial results of a research, which the objective is to analise reports about the uses and inovations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, as well as its repercussion and potencial impacts in human activities. The especific objectives are to observe how those tools are recognized and/or use in the context of education (one of the most impacted sections for the AI). For that, the social networks Instagram and X (old Twitter) were elected as the inicial field of the research and through the posts on those networks four themes were identified, which became part of the scope of the work: Geral AI; AI in the Job Market; AI in Education and; Regulation of the use of AI. Resorting to the methodology of digital ethnography, the research – executed in two steps – initially seek to comprehend how lay people perceive and incorporate AI tools in their activities then make the same observation, but this time through the research face to face inside a federal institution of basic education.
