The article analyses the relationship between museums and digital technologies, highlighting the development of virtual museums and the case study of Google Arts & Culture. The methodology includes a literature review and analysis of digital platforms, focusing on how the digitization of physical collections and the creation of digital collections democratize the museum experience. Through interviews with experts and direct observation of platform usage, the study critically evaluates the tools and functionalities offered. Google Arts & Culture is analysed as a success story, offering virtual tours, online exhibitions, and high-resolution images of artworks, making art globally accessible.
