In this interview granted by Prof. Dr. Helena Vetorazo to researcher Carlos Batista, a general overview of Educommunication, Media Literacy, and Media Literacies is presented, highlighting their origins, specificities, practices, and challenges in both national and international contexts. The discussion sought to clarify their fundamental concepts, historical trajectories, public policies, and transformative perspectives. The objective was to emphasize the importance of collaboration among different agents and institutions.
