This research investigates gender bias in political recommendation algorithms and examines how these algorithms can reproduce or amplify gender inequalities, influencing the formation of opinions and political engagement. Based on a review of existing literature, the research shows that these algorithms can lead to selective exposure to political information based on gender, affecting perceptions, attitudes, and political behaviors. The results suggest that recommendation algorithms perpetuate gender disparities in access to relevant political information, contributing to the underrepresentation of women in politics.
